HYA is a small community business that uses data purely for our own use and for the interest of our clients to keep them informed of anything that they may want to know. In order to run our business effectively. We use large well-known providers who have a stringent policy when it comes to storing data.

Google Analytics collects standard internet log information and details of visitor behavior patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. Account Data
In order to purchase something from Houston Yoga and Ayurveda, we require your first and last name, address, zip code, phone number, email address, and details of how you found out us. This data is stored in your account in Mindbody, We use this information so that we know who you are when you come to the center and so that we can contact you if required according to your subscription preferences and services provided. We also use this information for our own data analysis. We will not share any of this information with any other companies or organizations.

Emails
Without subscribing to any communications from HYA you may receive the following operational emails from HYA:
Notification of failed automatic payments, appointment confirmations, Reset login information, Purchase receipts, Gift Card delivery notification, your schedule,
autopay purchase confirmation, contract confirmation, automatic payment method expiration, contract reminders, schedule updates, New client welcome email,
and any other essential information relating to your booking. If you are subscribed to email reminders and notifications. We may need to contact you with essential information. We may use OUTLOOK mail to contact you, This email account can only be accessed by HYA staff. We will not share this information with any other organizations or companies. You are welcome to unsubscribe from email reminders and notifications or to separately subscribe to or unsubscribe from account management or schedule updates.

Access to Your Personal Information
You are entitled to view, amend, remove, or delete the personal information that we hold. You can do this online with a private client account log-in with Mindbody or by contacting our data protection officer at Healing@Houston-Yoga-Ayurveda.com

We will review this privacy policy as and when required. This privacy policy was last updated on 10th June 2020.

Other Major Policies

NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY

HYA does not and shall not discriminate based on race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations.

AnTI-HARRASMENT & SEXUAL HARASSMENT

We do not permit managers, employees, teachers, independent contractors, students, or others in the workplace to harass any other person because of age, gender (including pregnancy), race, ethnicity, culture, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, disability, socioeconomic status, genetic information, or any other basis proscribed by law.

We do not tolerate sexual harassment and misconduct in our studio. Sexual harassment refers to any unwelcome sexual attention, sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal, visual, or physical conduct of a sexual nature when the conduct harms the person’s employment or working environment.

rETALIATION POLICY

We prohibit retaliation against anyone for reporting a violation of our Code of Conduct or other policies, or for participating in an investigation relating to a violation of our Code of Conduct or other policies.

STUDENT/CLIENT GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE

A student or client may approach the program director or the CEO of the facility to express their concerns or complaints in writing. A grievance committee consisting of two members will within a week solicit evidence, interview witnesses, and will recommend a decision on the matter forthwith. In case a major transgression against valid local, state, or federal laws is determined, the grievance committee will also notify the relevant authorities.

DRESS CODE

Dress Code for Yoga and attending theory classes is informal. Ethnic clothing is permitted. Clean, modest clothing is expected. i.e., no shorts or tank tops.

CONFIDENTIALITY

We respect the integrity and protect the welfare of all persons with whom we are working and have an obligation to safeguard information about them that has been obtained in the course of the instruction or treatment process.
